Common questions

Everything you're wondering, answered

What if I'm a total beginner or haven't sung in years?

You're in exactly the right place. Mary's lessons work for all levels, and rusty voices are a specialty. Many of her students are adults coming back to singing after years, sometimes decades, away. The DreamVoice™ Method also helps accomplished singers find more ease, control, precision, range, and power.

How much should I practice between lessons?

Aim for 10 to 20 minutes a day. Consistency beats marathon sessions every time, and your exercises are designed to fit into a busy life.

Can I really make progress with online lessons?

Yes. Online lessons give you flexibility, comfort, and convenience, and Mary has dramatically improved the voices of hundreds of singers around the world through live video sessions, tutorials, and downloadable resources.

How much support will I receive?

In every lesson you get immediate, tailored feedback and tools you can use right away. Mary is also available by email between lessons for questions.

How do I know Mary is the right teacher for me?

You don't have to guess. Your first lesson is free, so you can experience Mary's teaching style and see how your voice responds before making any commitment.

What is Mary's training and background?

Mary has been a professional singer since she was a teenager. She trained in music and performance at USC's Theater Department under the direction of John Houseman, co-founder of Juilliard. Leading entertainment professionals and students around the globe praise her music, her singing, and her teaching.

Your first hour is free. Let's sing.
